Bowling Stays Atop Standings at Hawk Invite

HAMILTON, N.J. – The LIU bowling team went 3-2 on day two of the Monmouth Hawk Invitational, and sit on top of the team standings heading into the final day of action. The Sharks will play one more traditional game Sunday, before beginning bracket play.
 
SHARK BITES
  • LIU opened the day with a loss to Adelphi, 911-801, and fell later in the day to Wilmington, 902-845.
  • The Sharks bounced back with a win over Wagner, 966-919, led by a 210 from freshman Sydney Binkley. Senior Francesca Rossi also bowled a 200.
  • LIU capped the day with two straight wins. First, they beat Bloomfield, 1015-886. Charlize Wanner led LIU with a 258, while Brittany Lucci had a 213.
  • And the Sharks ended on a strong note, beating New Jersey City University, 1045-770. Senior Nicole Lettich led the team with a 244, while Wanner bowled a 230, and Kellie Frain had a 226.
  • The Sharks wrap up the Hawk Flight Invitational Sunday, February 27.
