GLEN COVE, N.Y. — The LIU men's golf team saved its best for last at the Nassau Invitational.
Playing at Nassau Country Club, the Sharks' five golfers combined to shoot a six-over-par 286 during Tuesday's final round.
Overall, host LIU finished fourth among the 10 participating teams, shooting 877 over three rounds.
St. John's won the event, shooting two-under on the final round to finish at 858.
Individually,
Kyle Underwood was LIU's top performer, shooting an 8-over 71-75-72-218 to finish in a tie for 10th.
He was followed by
Jan Rybczynski, who finished in a tie for 15th at 73-74-73-220.
Lewis Wright (80-73-69) and Andre Kleppe (74-76-72) each shot 222, while
Ary Mohan shot 77-74-74-225.
