MOUNT JOY, Pa. – After a tough two first days, the LIU bowling team bounced back on day three of the first Northeast Conference meet of the year, going 3-0 against Wagner to help them right the ship and finish 4-5 in the standings.
In the first match of the day in the traditional format, the Sharks downed the Seahawks, 955-903. LIU was led by a 213 from
Nicole Lettich, and a 207 from
Kellie Frain.
LIU also did well in the five-game baker match against Wagner, winning by almost 100 pins, 920-829 (162-148, 194-181, 224-158, 141-166, 199-176).
And the Sharks capped the weekend with a win over Wagner in the best of seven baker match, beating the Seahawks, 4-1 (189-204, 200-195, 192-182, 234-145, 203-158).
Up next, the Sharks return to NEC action, taking part in the second NEC meet of the season, Friday, February 26 to Sunday, February 28 in New Brunswick, N.J.
