MOUNT JOY, Pa. – The LIU bowling team went 1-2 on the first day of Northeast Conference meet weekend Friday. The Sharks, who bowled Sacred Heart three times, finished the day with a win.
In the first match of the day, LIU fell to Sacred Heart in traditional play, 975-885. Junior
Francesca Rossi led LIU, bowling a 209.
The second match of the day was a five game baker match, which Sacred Heart won by just 30 pins, 1044-1014 (185-205, 191-223, 225-177, 214-204, 199-235).
And LIU capped the day with a big 4-2 win over the Pioneers in a best of seven baker match (192-219, 245-195, 148-183, 247-222, 234-233, 227-204).
