EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - The LIU bowling team fared well on the first day of the first Northeast Conference regular season meet Saturday, going 3-1 against league opponents.

LIU led off with a 4-2 win over Saint Francis U., beating the Red Flash 180-170, 162-187, 166-156, 152-159, 213-181, 201-179.

The Sharks followed that up with a big win over #12 ranked Sacred Heart, beating the Pioneers, four games to three games, 167-181, 173-160, 173-153, 169-164, 165-181, 180-205, 183-179. Senior
Emily Cavanaugh got the first two strikes in the 10th frame, for LIU, and had eight on the fill to secure the victory.

LIU would drop one match to #8 FDU, falling 4-0 to the Knights (172-188, 187-222, 152-247, 160-244).

The Shark wrapped the day up by beating Wagner 4-1, 142-167, 165-156, 165-145, 164-155, 193-161.
