COMRAN, N.Y. – The LIU bowling team beat two more nationally-ranked teams on the final day of the Adelphi University "Dezy Strong" Classic. The Sharks finish the weekend with a 9-4 record, and in fourth place in the team standings.

Kayla Jones said. "We knew each day was going to be tough, and came in ready to compete. Through a few hiccups, we reset and bounced back. It was a great weekend."
In the first match of Sunday's best of sevens matches, the Sharks beat #8 Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-2 (155-212, 249-153, 169-180, 169-156, 151-143, 253-178).
LIU followed that up with a 4-1 win over #10 Stephen F. Austin (186-185, 148-194, 185-175, 191-173, 173-151). The Sharks finished the day with a loss to #16 Tulane, 4-1 (116-170, 175-167, 156-215, 187-234, 189-236).
Up next, the Sharks take part in the first Northeast Conference weekend meet, Saturday, November 6 and 7.
