FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The LIU bowling team wrapped up action at Sacred Heart's Bowl for a Cure Sunday, going 3-2 in Baker matches to finish in sixth place.
 
The Sharks opened the day beating St. Francis Brooklyn, 914-895, in a match that came down to the fifth frame, 167-168, 185-165, 174-176, 199-217, 188-169. The Sharks followed that up with a win against Felician, 929-760 (167-150, 173-170, 189-143, 232-147, 168-150), and then a win against Bloomfield, 891-869 (165-181. 151-138. 168-181. 194-168. 213-201).
 
LIU then fell to the host Pioneers, 918-845 (142-180. 178-155, 187-181, 169-199, 169-198) and to SFBK in a second match, 930-900 (168-226, 220-159, 152-180, 195-182, 165-183).
