HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The #25 Long Island University bowling team competed in the first day of the Hawk Invite hosted by Monmouth on Friday afternoon. The Sharks went 1-4 through five baker matches.
LIU went up against Caldwell in the first match, falling to the Cougars 967-902. Against #17 FDU, the Sharks suffered a 1083-855 defeat. The third match saw LIU take on #4 Vanderbilt. The Commodores took the match 1076-1013.
#10 Duquesne beat LIU 1075-1021. The day ended on a high note as the Sharks took down New Jersey City University 1008-660.
