STRATFORD, N.J. – The #25 Long Island University bowling concluded its regular season at Northeast Conference Meet No. 3 on Sunday afternoon. Despite going 0-2 on the day, the Sharks advanced to the NEC Championships, finishing the season at 11-7, good enough for third place.
 
Sunday began with a matchup against #17 Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Knights took the match four-and-a-half games to two-and-a-half games. Game six ended in a tie, forcing the extra game.
 
The Sharks then battled St. Francis Brooklyn, dropping the match to the Terriers 4-2.
 
The NEC Championships are scheduled for March 20. There are three meets between now on then, leaving plenty of time to prepare for a championship run.
