NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Long Island University fencing team returned to action, competing in the Yale Duels on Saturday.
 
Against the host Bulldogs, LIU fell 25-2. Faith Ferraro and Alina Chen provided the lone points for the Sharks, each capturing a victory in the epee. Ferraro won her bout 5-4 and Chen defeated her opponent 5-4.
 
Up next, Long island University travels to Fairleigh Dickinson University to compete in the FDU Invitational scheduled for Saturday, February 8.
