New Orleans, La. –- The Long Island University track and field teams were awarded three 2026 USTFCCCA Track & Field Academic Awards, as announced Monday.
 
As outlined by the USTFCCCA, said athletes and teams "stood out in all areas of the student-athlete experience," with the LIU women's track and field team earning an All-Academic Team honor after boasting a 3.17 GPA. LIU men's also earned the same recognition with a 3.22 GPA. Teams had to maintain a 3.0 to qualify.
 
Additionally, Hasnae Goulamzi was named an All-Academic Athlete. In order to qualify, an athlete must rank in the NCAA's top 100 during the indoor or outdoor track & field season. Goulamzi's previous prowess in the women's indoor 5K secured her spot in the top 100.
