BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Walid Jarfani and
Jayden Curry earned weekly award honors from the NEC, following impressive showings at the UCF Black & Gold Invitational last weekend.
Jarfani earned NEC Men's Track Athlete of the Week, following a third place finish in the Men's 1500m race. He came in with a time of 3:46.44.
Curry emerged as the NEC Rookie of the Week after also competing in the Men's 1500m race, finishing with a time of 3:56.74 --- good for 32nd place overall. The freshman also competed in the Men's High Jump, with his 1.96m mark helping him secure eighth place.
