BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament returns to Athens this weekend as regional host University of Georgia welcomes a four-team field that includes Long Island University for the double-elimination Athens Regional.
Games will be played at Foley Field beginning Friday, with Georgia serving as the tournament's top seed after earning a national seed in the 64-team NCAA Tournament bracket. The regional winner advances to next week's Super Regional round.
Long Island University, which secured an automatic berth by winning the NEC Tournament, will make its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2018. The Sharks enter the regional looking to continue a late-season surge against one of the nation's top programs.
A limited number of tickets will be made available for LIU fans. Those tickets can be purchased
