BROOKVILLE, N.Y.– Eden Stippick of the Long Island University women's gymnastics team was named Rookie Specialist of the Week by the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
 
A freshman from Georgetown, Texas, Stippick scored her career best on the floor with a score of 9.70, tying for fifth in competition against Temple University on Saturday. Stippick also matched her career best in vault with a score of 9.775, tying for third place and recording the second highest score on that rotation for the Sharks.

Stippick and the Sharks return to action on Saturday, Jan. 24, when they travel to Bridgeport, Connecticut to take on the University of Bridgeport, Brown University, and Springfield College.
