9/10/2025 3:02:00 AM

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. - The official logo for the 2026 United Collegiate Hockey Cup has been unveiled and tickets for the inaugural event are now on sale.

The logo features a red, white, and blue shield design with the tournament name and an outline of the St. Louis skyline, representing the event's host location in St. Louis County. Beneath the shield, the names and logos of each participating school are represented in alphabetical order.

The tournament will be held in Maryland Heights, Missouri from March 5-7, 2026, bringing together five NCAA Division I men's hockey programs - Long Island University, the University of Alaska Anchorage, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Lindenwood University, and Stonehill College - for a high-stakes postseason showdown.

General Admission tickets for the United Collegiate Hockey Cup are now on sale at a cost of $20 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets can be purchased at lindenwoodlions.com/tickets.

The event represents a major step forward for independent college hockey programs, providing them with a postseason championship experience and an opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage. The United Collegiate Hockey Cup is expected to draw college hockey fans, NHL scouts, and media attention, further growing the visibility of these programs.

"The United College Hockey Cup will be a great opportunity for our student-athletes to compete for a championship," said LIU head coach Brendan Riley. "We are grateful for the privilege to be able to showcase ourselves on a national stage. We want to thank everyone who participated in organizing and planning this event and making it possible. It will be an exciting weekend of hockey!"

The Sharks enter next season on the heels of the most successful season in program history. In 2024-2025, LIU set a new program record with 20 wins and went 14-1 at home, compiling the best home record in college hockey. The Sharks finished the season as the highest-ranked independent team in the country.

Riley enters his first season as head coach in 2025-2026.
