BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Selia Lyons, Julia Trainor, Erin Harkins, Ava Taylor, and Lindsey Lucia each found the back of the net against Vermont during the Sharks' Sunday matinee against the Catamounts at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Trainor and Lyons each scored two minutes apart in the first quarter to put LIU ahead 2-1.

Lucia tied the game at three in the final four minutes of the opening frame.

Harkins' second-quarter tally made it a one-goal game as the Sharks trailed 5-4.

The Catamounts would pull away with an 11-6 win. Trainor finished the game with a team-high two goals. 

Reigning NEC Goaltender of the Week, Mylie Norton, stopped eight shots on the afternoon.

LIU returns to action at FDU next Saturday at noon.
