EAST MEADOW, N.Y.John Gormley, Isaiah Fox, Connor Gregga, and Andrius Kulbis-Marino have signed professional hockey contracts in the ECHL and American Hockey League (AHL).

Gormley, the Sharks' 2024-25 team captain, has signed a two-way ECHL-AHL deal with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) and Wichita Thunder (ECHL), the minor league affiliates of the NHL's San Jose Sharks.

The Bronx, N.Y., native led the NCAA with 133 hits and finished the season with two goals and 43 blocked shots. Gormley appeared in 128 games over four seasons at LIU and will reunite with LIU alum Anthony Vincent '23 in San Jose.

Fox is taking his talents to the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder. The four-year Shark made an immediate impact at the professional level, scoring a goal in his first game with the Thunder on March 9. The former LIU alternate captain finished his collegiate career with 36 goals, 32 assists, and 12 power-play goals in 120 games.

Gregga has signed an ECHL deal with the Savannah Ghost Pirates. The graduate forward tallied three goals and six assists in 20 games during his lone season at LIU.

Kulbis-Marino is also heading to the ECHL after signing with the Utah Grizzlies. The former LIU defenseman recorded three goals and seven assists in 21 games while blocking 42 shots.

"We are very proud of these four seniors for earning opportunities in pro hockey," said head coach Brett Riley. "All four graduates were integral to our team's success, and I have no doubt they will continue to do great things on and off the ice. While they will be missed, we cannot wait to see what success lies ahead."

LIU, coming off a program-record 20-win season, has now sent more than 25 former players to the professional ranks.
