BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Aiden Zuhoski and Mark Regan each scored four goals in LIU's 14-9 win against Iona in the Sharks' home opener at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
LIU broke an 8-8 tie by scoring seven second-half goals – all unanswered – as the Sharks improved to 2-1 on the season.
Bayden Wilken stopped 11 shots to earn back-to-back wins, and Tyler Davide played a strong defensive game, picking up six ground balls and causing two turnovers.
Khairi Sears finished the game with a goal and three assists, while Nick Colantonio had a three-point afternoon with a pair of goals and an assist for the Sharks.
"I am proud of our team's effort," said head coach Jordan Levine. "Winning at this level is hard to do, and today we got the job done."
LIU hosts Siena next Saturday at 1 p.m.
