New Britain, C.T. — LIU and Central Connecticut State played a close one on Thursday night, with the Sharks losing 52-48.
The Sharks began the game on a 10-0 run, but lost its lead later in the second quarter and could not recapture it.
Sirviva Legions put forth a versatile effort, leading LIU with 15 points and 4 assists, while also grabbing 6 rebounds.
Janessa Williams pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the team in that category, marking the second straight game she's reached double-digit boards.
LIU will return to play on Saturday, Jan. 11, hosting Stonehill at 2 p.m.
