BROOKLYN, N.Y. — LIU lost to Stonehill on Saturday afternoon by a score of 61-50.
This was the Sharks' first game back in Brooklyn since the team opened up the new year with a 59-48 win over Le Moyne on Jan. 2.
Brianna Mead led the way for LIU with a season-high 16 points in that game, and similarly continued her double-digit scoring prowess with 12 more points against Stonehill. Mead tied her season-high in field goals, shooting 6 of 10 from the field and reaching double-figures for the third time in four games.
Sirviva Legions led LIU with 18 points and 3 steals. The Sharks outscored the Skyhawks by four points in the second half, but it wasn't enough to fully erase an early deficit.
LIU will play its next game on Saturday, Jan. 18, visiting Saint Francis at 4 p.m.
