1/8/2025 11:44:00 AM

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. LIU Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Dalton Struebin as an assistant coach for the LIU women's gymnastics team.

Struebin was elevated to a full-time role after recently serving as a volunteer assistant during the 2024 season.

The Wisconsin native has coached club gymnastics for over a decade, including stops at Stateline Family YMCA Gymnastics in Beloit, Wis., where he served as the men's and women's gymnastics program director and head coach.

Struebin most recently served as the head coach of New Image Gymnastics in Brentwood, N.Y., where he coached and trained a team of over 40 gymnasts.

"I am so thrilled for the opportunity to promote Dalton to Assistant Coach," said head coach Taylor Colwell, who enters her first year as the Sharks' head coach. "Dalton has already made a tremendous impact on our team, and I am confident he will continue to do so. He brings high energy and upholds the values of a Shark to the highest standard."

Struebin makes his assistant coaching debut on Jan. 10 when LIU competes in its first meet of the 2025 season at Air Force.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to join LIU as an Assistant Coach," Struebin said. "I look forward to working with the student-athletes, helping them grow not only as gymnasts but as individuals, and being a part of this amazing team culture."

Struebin is a graduate of the University of Rock County in Whitewater-Janesville, Wis., where he studied exercise science.
