MADISON, Wis. — Chad Muller and Josh Zary each scored in LIU's 2-2 tie against Wisconsin on Saturday night.
Muller put LIU on the board with his second-period tally and fourth goal of the season, just over the midway point of the middle frame.
The Badgers found the back of the net minutes later to take a 3-2 lead—but that didn't last long.
Zary buried the equalizer, his seventh goal of the season, at 16:02, tying the game at two.
Tyriq Outen started in goal for the Sharks and stopped 22 shots as the Sharks and Badgers tied 2-2 in game two of their series finale.
"I am very proud of our effort tonight," said head coach Brett Riley. "The team battled for 65 minutes in one of college hockey's best venues. We look forward to continuing to push forward this second half."
Anthony Lucarelli, JR Perdion, and Valtteri Piironen each finished the game with assists.
LIU capped off the night with 16 blocked shots.
The Sharks (12-10-2) return to action on Jan. 31 against Stonehill at the Northwell Health Ice Center.
