Isaiah Fox's multigoal performance lifted LIU past Stonehill 4-2 in game one of the Sharks' two-game series against the Skyhawks at the Northwell Health Ice Center on Friday afternoon.
Fox's second-period tally, 6:14 into the middle frame, evened the score at 1.
Josh Zary then put LIU ahead for good by scoring his eighth goal of the season and fifth on the power play just past the midway point of the second period.
Fox's second goal, his sixth of the season, came in the final 1:45 of the second period, giving LIU a 3-1 lead.
Anthony Lucarelli sealed the win with his third-period tally, securing a 4-2 win in the Sharks' 13th win of the season.
Tyriq Outen made 25 saves and earned his sixth win of the season, as LIU remains unbeaten at home with an 8-0 record.
