NORTH EASTON, Mass. — The LIU women's lacrosse team won its fifth-straight game with a 13-8 win against Stonehill.
LIU, which improved to 6-1 in the NEC, jumped out to a 7-2 first half lead thanks to goals from
Ava Taylor,
Jen Gaffney,
Alexa Nuzzi,
Rachel Weber, and
Julia Trainor.
Lindsey Lucia,
Olivia Fantigrossi, and
Rachel Weber scored two goals each in the second half, securing LIU's sixth win of the season.
Mylie Norton stopped eight shots, Fantigrossi scooped up a team-high four ground balls, and Trainor won eight draw controls.
LIU returns home to host Merrimack for Senior Day and Youth Day at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday at noon.
