BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The LIU men's volleyball wrapped up it's weekend series against Barton on Friday in an impressive 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-19) victory.
Much like last night's match the first set was a bit of back and forth for a bit with the Bulldogs trying to get some early momentum to avenge their loss. The Sharks were up 21-17 before Barton stormed back with three straight points to get within one. This woke up
Gio Collazo and
Livan Moreno who would rattle off three kills the take the set.
Just like that momentum swung in LIU's favor as the second and third sets were won in relatively comfortable fashion.
Moreno led the team in kills with nine followed by Collazo and
Eddy Alexandre who each had eight.
Vanja Petrasinovic recorded two kills while freshmen
Seamus Flynn (who earned the start),
Max Cherin and
Dominik Budny all tallied one.
Roei Horovitz had a team-high 21 assists.
The Sharks return to the court on Friday when they host STAC at 7 p.m.
