MADEIRA BEACH, FLA. — The LIU softball team played its second game of the Spring Games on Friday morning when it took on Bucknell.

In the first two innings it started to look like both starting pitchers were settling in until the Sharks jumped all over the Bison pitcher.  Five hits in the third would lead to four LIU runs and that would be enough for Kira Buckner and Lindsey Cowans as the Sharks won 5-1.

Lily Hinkle and Gabby Padilla each had an RBI. Emma Niece recorded a team-high three.

The Sharks return to the field tomorrow when they take on Siena at 10 a.m.
