Acro & Tumbling Continues to Shine, Wins First Home Meet in Program History

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU acrobatics & tumbling team secured its first home meet win in program history and tallied its highest score in program history, against Kutztown on Monday night.

The Sharks defeated the Golden Bears 255.075 to 248.750 to claim their third consecutive win and their inaugural victory at the Pratt Recreation Center.

The team won the compulsory with a score of 36.000 – 35.500 and dominated in acro with a total of 27.050.

The Sharks excelled in the pyramid, winning the event with a score of 28.450 – 28.300.

In the toss event, LIU achieved a total of 25.450 and tallied a cumulative score of 49.775 in tumbling.

The Sharks concluded the evening with an impressive team event, scoring 88.350.

LIU won all events and will next compete in a tri-meet against Georgian Court and Stevenson on April 5 in Lakewood, N.J.
