TEANECK, N.J. — The LIU men's volleyball team traveled to FDU on Saturday night as it cintinued conference play.
The Sharks took an early first set lead before the Knights came back and won it 27-25. For the rest of the match LIU would battle but they were a step ahead of its opponent at every crucial moment. Whenever FDU would try to make a comeback in any set, the Sharks would shut them down and close it late. Led by
Gio Collazo,
Kale Spencer,
Livan Moreno and
Arthur Sueur LIU would take the next three sets in a four set win (25-27, 25-21, 25-17, 25-23).
Collazo led the team in kills with 13 while also recording two aces and a dig.
Spencer had a team-high 12 digs with 12 kills and five blocks.
Moreno recorded 10 kills, six digs and four blocks.
Jack Sarnowski once again led the Sharks in assists with 38. He is now just six away from 2,500 career assists.
The Sharks return to the court on on Friday against Barton at 7 p.m. in the Steinberg Wellness Center.
