BROOKLYN, N.Y. — After Roy Kortmann picked up his 800th career win in game one of the doubleheader, the LIU softball team kept their head coach happy with yet another shutout in a 5-0 victory. 

Alexia Castro and Emma Niece started off the second inning with a single and a double and then it all fell into place for the Sharks. Mari Narvaiz, Devon Medina, Victoria Zatko, Lily Hinkle and Gabby Padilla all picked up RBIs as LIU exploded for all five of their runs in the second inning. 

That would be enough for Alyssa O'Donnell as she kept the Stonehill bats quiet in a three hit, three strikeout complete game shutout. 

The Sharks return to the field Sunday at noon to wrap up their series with the Skyhawks.
