BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Brisa Carraro had the top score on the bars and
Syd Morris had the top score on the beam, but the LIU gymnastics team fell to George Washington, 195.575-192.450 on Sunday at Pratt Recreation Center.
Carraro, a freshman from Buenos Aires, Argentina, produced a 9.850 on the bars, edging Colonials gymnast Rachel Katz (9.825) for the top score.
Morris, competing for the first time since the season's opening weekend, had a 9.900 on the beam.
LIU returns to action at the Empire State Collegiate Championship next Sunday at Cornell in upstate Ithaca.
