OKATIE, S.C. — Hailey Holbdy had a strong showing as the LIU women's golf team returned to action after a winter hiatus.

Holbdy finished fifth of 77 golfers at the Oldfield Intercollegiate, which was played at the Oldfield Golf Club in South Carolina on Monday and Tuesday.

Overall, the Sharks finished eighth of 13 teams.

Holbdy, a freshman from Gibraltar, Mich., shot a 10-over 226 during the three-round event.

LIU next competes March 11-12 at the Butler Spring Invitational in Oldsmar, Fla.
