DELAND, Fla. — The LIU softball team wrapped up its trip to the Stetson Invitational Sunday morning when it took on Green Bay for the second time this weekend.
The Sharks jumped out to an early 1-0 leads thanks to a
Gabby Padilla RBI single. The game would stay in LIU's favor until Green Bay knocked in two runs in the fourth.
In the next inning
Mari Narvaiz would single to drive in Priscilla Gilles and tie the game.
Green Bay would respond with a run in the sixth and the seventh to take a two-run lead into the bottom of the seventh. LIU would threaten late, loading the bases but could not drive in the tying runs and fell 4-2.
The Sharks return to the field on Thursday, March 7 when they take on Central Michigan in their first game at the Spring Games.
