EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LIU men's hockey team honored its seniors during a pregame ceremony Saturday. The Sharks then closed out the home portion of their 2023-24 schedule with a 4-2 win against Stonehill at Northwell Health Ice Center.
Zachary Nazzarett's power-play goal midway through the third period broke a 2-all tie.
Jack Quinn then sealed the game with a goal with 77 seconds remaining.
Nazzarett, one of a dozen pregame honorees, similarly had scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period en route to a 3-1 win at Yale on Dec. 2.
LIU went 8-6 at home this season.
The Sharks also won all eight meetings against Stonehill in '23-24.
Austin Brimmer and
Josh Zary also scored for the Sharks on Saturday.
