EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LIU men's hockey team honored its seniors during a pregame ceremony Saturday. The Sharks then closed out the home portion of their 2023-24 schedule with a 4-2 win against Stonehill at Northwell Health Ice Center.

Zachary Nazzarett's power-play goal midway through the third period broke a 2-all tie. Jack Quinn then sealed the game with a goal with 77 seconds remaining.

Nazzarett, one of a dozen pregame honorees, similarly had scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period en route to a 3-1 win at Yale on Dec. 2.

LIU went 8-6 at home this season.

The Sharks also won all eight meetings against Stonehill in '23-24.

Austin Brimmer and Josh Zary also scored for the Sharks on Saturday.

Before the game, LIU honored Preston Brodziak, Grayson Constable, Jordan Di Cicco, Aaron Grounds, Noah Kane, Peter Muzyka, Nazzarett, Remy Parker, Brandon Perrone, Adam Pitters, Quinn and Nolan Welsh during a Senior Day ceremony.

The Sharks conclude their season next weekend at Arizona State.
