DELAND, Fla. — The LIU softball team opened up its weekend trip to Stetson on Friday when it faced off with Green Bay and host Stetson. The Sharks played in two hard fought games but fell by one run in both, 4-3 to Green Bay in nine innings and 3-2 to Stetson in walk-off fashion in the seventh.
Dallas Andrews had a nice day at the plate hitting in the lead off spot. She recorded three hits and scored a run.
Alexia Castro went 3-6 on the day, walking twice and knocking in two runs.
Alyssa Polemani recorded three hits while tallying and RBI and scoring a run.
Victoria Zatko drove in her first run of the season against Stetson.
The Sharks will return to the field on Saturday when they take on Maryland at 9:30 a.m. and rematch with Stetson at 3 p.m.
