BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU women's lacrosse team took a one-goal lead into halftime courtesy of goals from
Ava Taylor,
Julia Trainor and
Erin Harkins in the final 49 seconds of the second quarter.
However, UMass Lowell answered with all five goals in the third quarter en route to a 14-10 win on Saturday at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Taylor, Harkins and
Rachel Weber scored two goals apiece to pace LIU.
The Sharks had a 20-15 edge in shots on goal.
LIU (0-2) next heads to Manhattan for a game on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
