Bronx, N.Y. — LIU fell to Fordham on Sunday afternoon, losing 62-43 to the local rival.
The Sharks benefited from 12 points each from
Janessa Williams and
Brianna Mead. Williams made a season-high 5 of 6 free-throw attempts, and also led LIU with 6 rebounds. This was the fifth time she's scored in double-figures this season.
As for Mead, the 12-point outing represented a career-high mark in the freshman's budding collegiate career. She scored in double-figures for the first time this season, shooting 4 of 9 from the field, including 2 of 4 from three-point range.
Sirviva Legions, who earned NEC Co-Player of the Week honors this past week, added 9 points in the contest.
The Sharks will return to action this coming Wednesday, Dec. 11, playing Saint Peter's on the road at 7 p.m.
