EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Austin Brimmer's third-period game-winning goal lifted the LIU men's hockey team to a 3-1 win over Holy Cross as the Sharks wrapped up the calendar year with their 10th win of the season and remained perfect at the Northwell Health Ice Center with a 5-0 record.
Brimmer's fifth goal of the season came with seven minutes remaining in regulation, giving LIU its first lead of the game.
Carter Rapalje scored the first goal of the game for the Sharks with a shorthanded tally just seven seconds before the end of the first period. Rapalje would also net the empty net goal with 36 seconds left in regulation. The Sharks winger now leads LIU with eight goals and 15 points.

Noah Rupprecht stopped 24
shots to earn his fourth win of the season.
Cade Mason blocked a team-high four shots in the win.
LIU returns to the ice on Friday against Assumption at 2 p.m. and Saturday against Saint Anselm at 8 p.m.
