FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Ethan Greenwood scored two touchdowns, and
Michael Love and
Ludovick Choquette each found the end zone in LIU's dominant 28-7 win against Sacred Heart in the Sharks' Week 10 matchup against the Pioneers.
LIU, fresh off its bye week, scored the first 21 points of the game, including
Michael Love's 67-yard touchdown rush to close out the first quarter. Love finished the game with 68 rushing yards and two catches for 27 yards.
Greenwood, who opened the scoring with a one-yard quarterback keeper, also added a 55-yard touchdown rush to seal the deal in the Sharks' 28-point road win. Greenwood finished the game with a team-high 20 carries for 140 yards and two touchdowns. The redshirt sophomore also hauled in three catches for 46 yards.
Pat Bowen rushed for 70 yards, and Choquette contributed 61 yards on the ground against the Pioneers.
The Sharks' defense was outstanding, allowing its fewest points of the season, thanks to
Qualil Lumpkins' six tackles and a crucial sack by
Luke Kelley.
DQ Watkins and
Elijah St. John each finished the game with four tackles.
A total of 19 LIU defenders contributed tackles in LIU's third win of the season.
LIU returns to Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium next Saturday, Nov. 16, when the Sharks host SFU in their home finale.
