BROOKLYN, N.Y. — In just the second game of the season, the Sharks turned up the intensity and played competitively against St. John's.
Hosting its home opener on Friday night, LIU rode waves of momentum to keep things close throughout. After serving as the team's leading rebounder on Monday, Nov. 4 against Lehigh,
Janessa Williams' attention turned to pouring in the points this time around, knocking down three shots from long range en route to leading the Sharks with 17 points. The team shot 44% from deep in the game.
As LIU continued to keep pressure on St. John's,
Sirviva Legions did a little bit of everything in this one, scoring 8 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing out 3 assists, and perhaps even more importantly, leading the Sharks with 4 steals along the way.
,The Sharks will play the next two games at home, facing Cal State Fullerton on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m., and Rider on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.
