BROOKLYN, N.Y. — LIU women's volleyball won yet another one Tuesday night, racking up the team's ninth straight victory.
The 3-0 sweep of UAlbany was the Sharks' sixth sweep over the course of this winning streak, and seventh overall of the season.
Bella Correia, the freshman whose month of October was headlined by three consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week awards, led LIU with 11 kills.
Camelia Melendez, the most recent NEC Player of the Week award recipient, added 10 kills of her own in the contest.
Fresh off NEC Prime Performer nods themselves,
Alasha Colon and
Selina Koç paced the Sharks defensively with double-digit digs, contributing 19 and 11, respectively.
With this latest win, LIU has improved to 6-2 at home.
The Sharks will now hit the road to play two at FDU, beginning with a matchup on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.
