Hackensack, NJ — The LIU women's volleyball team accomplished a special feat on Friday night, winning its tenth straight match with a 3-1 victory over FDU.
Bella Correia shined in October, winning three-consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week awards, but it's safe to say she's well on her way to ensuring that the month of November is nothing short of a spectacular encore. The freshman tallied a season-high 17 kills, leading the Sharks and racking up double-digit kills for the third straight time.
Camelia Melendez, this past week's NEC Player of the Week, turned in 15 kills in the match, and
Alasha Colon's 21 digs marked the fourth straight time she's had at least 19 digs in a contest.
LIU is now 8-3 against NEC opponents.
The Sharks will match up against FDU on the road yet again Saturday, November 9 at 1 p.m.
