BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The LIU men's hockey team tied its season high with five goals, cruising past Stonehill 5-1 on Friday night.
Josh Zary and
Carter Rapalje scored in the final 2:30 of the second period, giving the Sharks a 2-1 lead heading into the final frame.
Nick Bernardo assisted on both goals.
Riley Wallack added two third-period goals, including one on the man advantage, extending LIU's lead to 4-1 with 12 minutes remaining in regulation.
Onni Leppanen scored his first career goal as a Shark in the final seconds of the game to seal the victory. Leppanen also contributed two assists in the win.

Noah Rupprecht stopped 20 shots to earn his second victory of the season.
