EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Six different goal scorers found the back of the net in LIU's 6-1 win against Stonehill on Saturday night.
Josh Zary, Isaiah Fox, Nicholas Trela, and Andrius Kulbis Marino all scored first-period goals for LIU in the opening frame.
Anthony Lucarelli netted the Sharks' fifth goal midway through the second period, and Valtteri Piironen scored his first of the season with 2:29 left in regulation.
Tyriq Outen stopped 16 shots and assisted on two goals in the win, improving to 5-1 on the season.
LIU collected a total of 12 assists in the game and blocked nine shots.
Saturday's win marked the Sharks' ninth of the year and their fourth against the Skyhawks.
LIU returns to action against Brown on Dec. 29 before hosting Holy Cross at the Northwell Health Ice Center on Dec. 31.
