BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Sharks have been taking a bite out of the competition as of late, with Saturday's 3-0 victory over Le Moyne marking LIU's sixth straight win and third consecutive shutout.
Camelia Melendez, who leads the team with 227 kills this season, added to her high mark with 11 more against Le Moyne.
Bella Correia, who is riding back-to-back NEC Rookie of the Week awards, added nine kills of her own, and
Reese Teves played a key role while leading the team with four aces.
LIU is now 5-3 in NEC play and 5-2 at home this season.
The Sharks will look to keep riding this momentous wave when the team takes on Mercyhurst on Friday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m.
