Wallack, Jennersjö, and Rapalje Propel Sharks to First Win of the Season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Riley Wallack, Sixten Jennersjö, and Carter Rapalje each found the back of the net in the Sharks' 3-2 win against Augustana on Saturday night.

Wallack's first-period tally put the Sharks ahead 1-0 with under four minutes left in the opening frame.

Jennersjö then scored his first career regular season goal as a Shark in the opening minutes of the second period, giving LIU a 2-0 lead.

Rapalje's third-period goal ultimately became the game-winner for LIU as the Sharks split the two-game series with Augustana, picking up their first regular-season win of the 2024-25 season.

Daniel Duris stopped 21 shots on the night and earned his first win in net in a Sharks uniform.

Freshman Luca Leighton recorded two assists, while Valtteri Piironen was solid defensively, blocking five shots. Isaiah Fox finished the game with a team-high seven shots on goal.

"I am very proud of the response by our team in tonight's 3-2 win," said head coach Brett Riley. "Winning on the road, especially the second night is tough to do and the team stepped up to the challenge against a strong opposition. This victory was a total team effort. A special congrats to Daniel Duris on his first college start and win."

LIU next plays Friday and Saturday night at Bentley before continuing their 10-game road trip at Notre Dame on Oct. 25.
