CHICAGO — The LIU men's volleyball team continued its gauntlet of a non-conference schedule when it took on top 15 team Loyola Chicago on Friday night.
The Sharks battled in the first set, but just could not catch up the Ramblers as Loyola Chicago went up 1-0. The second set was all Loyola and while LIU tried to mount a comeback in the third, any attempt at momentum was thwarted by a Rambler answer as the Sharks dropped the match in three sets.
Kale Spencer led the team with 11 kills while also recording two digs and a service ace.
Vanja Petrasinovic recorded seven kills on 13 attempts while also tallying four assists.
Kasey Clouet had six kills on 10 attempts and tallied three digs.
Roei Horovitz had a team-high 15 assists while
Jack Sarnowski recorded eight.
The Sharks will return to the court on Saturday night when they take on No. 12 Lewis at 8 p.m. ET.
