BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU gymnastics team performed for a home audience for the first time this season. And the Sharks finished second of four teams at Pratt Recreation Center on Sunday.
LIU scored 192.825, putting it behind New Hampshire (195.400) and ahead of Yale (192.350) and Southern Connecticut State (191.925).
The Sharks, competing shorthanded due to illness, received a team-best 9.875 from
Brisa Carraro on the bars, 9.850 from
Alana Ricketts on the beam and 9.850 from
Ella Barrington on the floor. Three gymnastics —
Alina Danilchenko,
AnnaLisa Page and Ricketts — led the way on the vault with 9.725 scores.
LIU returns to action Friday at Towson. The meet also includes Cornell, George Washington and New Hampshire.
