Eight Different Sharks Score as Men's Hockey Routs Stonehill

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Eight different LIU men's hockey student-athletes scored and the Sharks routed visiting Stonehill, 8-2, on Friday afternoon at Northwell Health Ice Center.

Coming off consecutive overtime victories against Colgate, LIU extended its winning streak to three games.

The Sharks built a 6-0 lead on goals from Jack Quinn, Isaiah Fox, Cade Mason, Josh Zary, Remy Parker and Riley Wallack before Stonehill halted the run on a two-man advantage midway through the second period. Chris Pappas and Austin Brimmer added third-period goals.

Freshman goaltender Noah Rupprecht improved to 3-0 in his collegiate career with a 19-save performance.

The Sharks and Skyhawks face off again on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Northwell Health Ice Center.
