Men's Volleyball Continues West Coast Road Trip at No. 2 Long Beach State

LONG BEACH, Calif. — The LIU men's volleyball faced a tough test on Friday when it took on national championship hopeful Long Beach State.

The Sharks hung in early on, battling with the Beach until they pulled away late in the first set. That would be the story of the entire match, LIU would start off strong but as the set went Long Beach State would wear it down and win the set with numerous late points. The Sharks would fall in three sets.

Kale Spencer had a team-high 10 kills, followed by Gio Collazo who recorded five.

Roei Horovitz tallied a team-high 24 assists while being tied for the team lead in digs with Joseph Nunez (seven).

Arthur Sueur led led the Sharks with three total blocks.

Seamus Flynn made his collegiate debut in the match.

The Sharks return to the court Saturday night when they play No. 13 Pepperdine in Malibu.
