Fleur Hofman Makes 10 Saves in Field Hockey Weekend Opener in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Goalie Fleur Hofman made 10 saves as the LIU field hockey team opened its weekend in Providence with a 3-0 loss to Brown on Friday afternoon.

Brown tallied a pair of first-quarter goals and outshot the Sharks, 20-3.

Hofman, an Amsterdam, Netherlands, native, joined LIU this season.

LIU (0-2) remains in Rhode Island to face Providence on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Lennon Family Field.
